At the recent Diocesan Council Meeting – representative from various parishes across the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross received certificates showing that they have successfully completed the on-going Children and Family Ministry Learning Process from Bishop Paul Colton. This is an initiative that is unique to this diocese.

Our former Associate Minister, now, Dean Abigail Sines along with parishioner April Gunn helped facilitate meetings across the Union of Parishes – engaging with parents and leaders. In each of our congregations we now have spaces & resources available for parents and kids along with various ways to engage with the range of worship services on sundays and other activities. Our Parish also organises various events through the year – for more information check these out on our website.
Commenting on the certificate – Rector Canon Robert Ferris said “Over the next couple of weeks the certificates will be received into each of our worshipping communities highlighting the work of our volunteers across the union of parishes and the engagement of kids and their parents in the very many aspects of worship and parish life.
This is important gospel ministry – Considerable effort goes in on a weekly basis to the many and varied aspects of this ministry which includes but not limited to – Adventurers in St. Peters’ and the Carraig Centre, The Kids corner in St. Senan’s, All age worship services, Kindle Family Ministry Events, Take home sheets, Blarney Toddlers, Sparks Toddlers at the Carraig Centre, our kids and youth Ministry as well as the work of our safeguarding panel. “
